Executive Principal's Message
Leicester Learning Village
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Following our recent Townhall event on Tuesday 18th November please see the below link to the previously shared presentation. I’d like to take the opportunity to share a few further details about the next steps.
The Trust is leading on the process to formalise the learning village and hub models in both Leicester and Bishop’s Stortford. The first stage of this work will be the appointment of a permanent Executive Principal in each region, and—specifically for Leicester—a substantive Head of School for Krishna Avanti. Once these key appointments are made, which we anticipate completing early in the Spring Term, we will then move on to recruiting for any remaining leadership roles at Deputy Principal or Assistant Principal level across both Krishna Avanti and Avanti Fields.
Over the coming weeks, you may notice some of these roles being advertised. We would be grateful for your support in sharing these opportunities within your networks, helping us to attract a broad and experienced field of candidates.
As appointments are confirmed, we will continue to keep our school community updated. We will also share our plans for a thorough and supportive induction and handover process to ensure a smooth transition for staff, pupils, and families. In the meantime, Ms Thakore will continue to lead and support Krishna Avanti until the incoming Head of School is securely in post and new collaborative approaches between the two schools are fully established.
Warm Regards,
Ms. V Bardsley
Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we move into the colder winter months, we know that colds and coughs are common. While we understand that children may sometimes be unwell, it is important that they attend school every day unless they are genuinely too ill to come. Every day counts towards their learning and development.
At our school, we follow The Avanti Way, which values education, personal responsibility, and community. Working together in partnership with parents helps us support your child’s learning and well-being.

Parents Survey
We kindly invite all parents to complete a short survey and share your thoughts about our school. Your feedback helps us ensure we’re providing the very best experience for your children.
This is your opportunity to tell us what you value and what you feel could be improved. The results will guide a series of more focused surveys later this year, helping us shape our action plans and continue improving our school community.
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Krishna Avanti is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!
Reception | Reception children have been reading The Little Red Hen and brought the story to life by making their own bread. They enjoyed measuring, mixing, and kneading the dough, proudly creating tasty rolls just like in the story.

Rights Respecting at Home: Article of the Week
At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child. It is important that children understand their rights because it helps them to feel valued, safe, and empowered to reach their full potential.

🌍 Article 42 – Everyone Should Know About Children’s Rights (Linked to World Children’s Day – 20th November)
Every child should know their rights — and adults should help teach them! When we understand our rights, we can speak up kindly, make good choices, and help create a fair and caring world for everyone.
At-home activity: 🕵️♀️ Be a Rights Detective! Look around your home and spot where you can see children’s rights in action — like food and clean water (health), books and learning (education), or toys and games (play). You could even make a “Rights in Our Home” poster!
