Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Due to the ongoing car parking issues, please note that from February half term onwards to Easter, all parents who hold a valid parking permit will be required to park inside the school grounds. The admin team will be able to let parents in at 7:30am. Parents with a parking permit will not be able to exit the car park until the school gates have closed at 8am to ensure that all other pupils can safely come into the school grounds. The admin team will be able to let parents in with a permit from 2.35pm in an afternoon and parents will need to wait till 3pm to exit safety after all the children have left the site.
If you have a permit, please buzz at the gate and a member of the admin team will open it for you. Please park in a designated parking spot and turn off your engine.
To ensure safety and fairness for everyone, only parents with a valid parking pass should attempt to park on site inside the school grounds. Any vehicles arriving without a pass will unfortunately be turned away. You will then need to leave the school site.
We would also like to remind parents that the four disabled parking bays are strictly for blue badge holders only, either for the driver or the child being dropped off.
We hope this will support our children to enter and leave school safely.
The local Police beat team will also be on hand to support parking outside the school. Please park respectfully to our neighbours in designated spaces and not blocking driveways.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to manage parking safely and effectively for our school community.
We will review this just before Easter and send further communications to parents.
Staff Updates
We are delighted to let you know that Mrs B Patel is now a qualified ELSA. She has undertaken an agreed period of study and gained a national recognised qualification with Educational Psychologists from the local authority. ELSAs by nature are kind and caring individuals who want children to do well educationally but also emotionally, when this is achieved a child is able to reach their full potential and go on to be a contributing member of society. When a child is happy at home and at school, they can make others feel their happiness, this will help them overcome any barriers to learning that children may have, which unlocks a child’s potential.
Mrs Gadhia- our chaplain, is also in training and when she has finished that will mean we will have 2 ELSA's in our school.
If you think your child may benefit from ELSA support, please email into the school office and a referral form can be sent out to you
Warm regards,
Ms A Thakore
SSC Parent Members – results of election
We would like to announce that Mrs Reena Patel and Mr Tejesh Patel have been elected as parent members to the School Stakeholder Committee (SSC). We look forward to working alongside our new members within the SSC and are excited for the experience and expertise they will bring to our school level governance team.
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Krishna Avanti is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!

Chess club:
Volunteers- Can you help ?
Our chess club is going from strength to strength and we have more children wishing to attend. So that we can increase our numbers we are looking for a further parent helper to support. The club runs on a Friday afternoon from 2.45 to 3.45. If you would be interested in volunteering then please contact Mrs DM at school or speak with the office, so that the necessary checks can be completed.
Thank you for your support.
Thank you to our volunteers for the support and dedication they show to our children.
Special Reading Week & Gaura Purnima Celebration

We are very excited this year to have our special festival of Gaura Purnima and Reading Week fall in the same week! To mark this, we will be holding a special Reading Week that includes faith-related stories as part of our reading experiences.
During this week, we will celebrate Gaura Purnima on 3rd March. Children are invited to dress up in festival clothes, and we will hold a special worship ceremony where all children will have the opportunity to bathe the deities.
This year, we are pleased to invite a small number of parents to observe this wonderful festival.
Please refer to email sent via Arbor for further information and booking details.

Enrichment Experiences – £15.00 Contribution
We have planned a number of special enrichment experiences for the children this year: visits to the temple and a fun-filled pantomime experience, archery sessions, PSHE workshops from Coram scarf and further events. These opportunities are designed to broaden the children’s understanding of the world around them, spark curiosity, and, of course, create some wonderful memories along the way.
To help cover transport, and activity costs, we kindly ask for a £15.00 donation per child for the year. Your support makes it possible for us to offer these meaningful and exciting experiences, and we are always so grateful for the generosity of our families.
The payments will be open on Arbor from 23rd January at 4.00pm to the 20th March 4:00pm.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of the team. We’re really looking forward to sharing these special days with the children.
Without the donations we may need to scale back what we can offer to our children.
Star of the week
Each week, we celebrate a pupil who truly embodies the values of the Avanti Way—whether it’s showing compassion, demonstrating self-discipline, striving for excellence, or fostering spiritual insight. This recognition is more than just good work—it's about living our values and inspiring others to do the same.
Well done to this week’s star for shining brightly and setting a wonderful example for us all!

Rights Respecting at Home: Article of the Week
At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child. It is important that children understand their rights because it helps them to feel valued, safe, and empowered to reach their full potential.
🌍Rights Respecting Article of the week: 💜 Safer Internet Day – Articles 17, 19, 34
Safer Internet Day is marked on 7 February every year.
We all have a right to feel safe and secure and that means safe online as well as in the real world. Safer Internet Day is an annual event that promotes the safe, responsible and positive use of the internet.
Why does this matter:
We use the internet daily
We need to learn how we can keep safe online
At home activity:
Talk about how things might go wrong with friendships online.
Try to make up some examples and then work out ways of resolving or sorting out these difficulties. Remember some situations might require adult help.
Work as class to design an advice guide to share your ideas.

Reminders:
Children's Personal belongings - Name labelled
We would like to remind all families of the importance of clearly naming children’s personal belongings, including shoes, coats, and other items brought into school.
Labelling items helps us to quickly and accurately return belongings to their owners and reduces the likelihood of items being misplaced or taken home in error. We kindly ask that names are clearly visible and kept up to date, particularly on footwear and uniform items that may look similar.
Thank you for your support in helping us keep children’s belongings safe and organised.
