avanti

governance (SSC)

The Avanti Schools Trust and each Avanti School is supported by School Stakeholder Committees (SSCs). The purpose of the SSCs is to work with the Executive Principal and Head of School to ensure that the school is offering the best possible education for its children in a way that supports the Values, Vision and Ethos of the Trust.

The key requirement of an SSC Member is a genuine interest in the learning, development and enhancement of the life chances of our young people with the best interests of our children at heart. With this in mind, SSC Members are encouraged to be the “critical friend” of the school Executive Principal and Leadership Team – to challenge them – knowledgeably and in the appropriate way – to seek assurances around school standards, provision and performance.

If you are interested in applying for a position on the Krishna Avanti SSC, please complete an expression of interest form today!

Trust-appointed and Community SSC Member Vacancy

The SSC also has vacancies for Trust-appointed and Community SSC members. Applications for members of the public, both inside and outside our parent community are very welcome.

The SSC would welcome expressions of interest for either of these positions and will begin more active recruitment after filling our Parent member vacancies. A copy of the Governance Handbook and Eligibility Criteria are available on request to the school, or able to be collected via the school office.

School Stakeholder Committee (SSC)

The SSC members work together to support the Principal and senior leadership team in achieving what is best for the pupils. Each member brings with them a depth of knowledge from their own professional and personal lives which contributes to the growth of the school.

The Guide also provides details of the skills and attributes required of an SSC Member. The overriding requirement is a genuine interest and commitment to the wellbeing and educational development of young people.
