Reimagining the purpose of education
house
system
Our House system at Krishna Avanti is integral to school life. The House system helps students develop they education excellence, character formation and spiritual insight outside of a classroom environment.
All students, teachers and support staff are allocated to one our six Houses, where students or staff have a family connection to a particular House this is maintained.
Our Houses are: Aether, Air, Cosmos, Earth, Fire and Water
All aspects of school life feed into the House system, this includes behaviour points, attendance, and participation in co-curriculum clubs. Students compete in a vast range of House events throughout the year and all these points are go towards the House Cup, which is awarded to the winning House in July.
A healthy but friendly competition is at the heart of events, but the House system goes far beyond this and equal importance is placed on developing teamwork, communication, leadership, and commitment.
We expect all students at the school to actively engage and take part in the House system and we design the House competition programme so there really is something for everyone.
