Our open events will give prospective parents an opportunity to learn about the Avanti Way. Avanti exists to help each person become a well-rounded human being through intellectual, moral and spiritual growth, and so make the world a better place.
Our unique ethos places a key emphasis on each individual’s wellbeing and good mental health. Children with higher levels of emotional, behavioural, social, and school wellbeing, on average, have higher levels of academic achievement and are more engaged in the school community.
We have a dedicated approach to wellbeing, from providing yoga and mindfulness sessions, sports and exercise, charity work, and working with parents and carers as co-educators.
Our school offers a holistic experience through Educational Excellence, Character Formation and Spiritual Insight. Along with all national curriculum areas, we offer students a chance to learn Yoga, Mindfulness and many opportunities to showcase the creative arts.

Tours 2025

Come join us at Krishna Avanti Primary School, Leicester for a tour, this is your chance to see our fantastic school in action.
Our curriculum includes forest school, Spanish, music, meditation and yoga, and we also serve delicious vegetarian meals that are cooked on-site by our catering team.
We are an inclusive, state-funded (free) Hindu faith school and form part of the Avanti family of schools; there are 12 located across the UK.

How to Apply
To apply for a Primary place at Krishna Avanti Primary School, here’s what you need to do:
1. Check when your child is due to start – Click here to check.
2. Read the Admissions Policy. Take note of the oversubscription criteria as you may have elements that which give you priority over others should we receive more applicants than places. You may be eligible to complete the supplementary Information form (SIF).
3. Complete the City Council’s admissions form and return it to the Council offices. The deadline for submitting this form is:
31st October 2024 for children joining us in Reception (primary).
Any application received after the closing date will be considered after all of those completed and submitted on time.
What happens next
Offers of places will be emailed to applicants from the City Council on 3rd March 2025 (primary places).
A letter will also be sent by second class post.
Unsuccessful applicants will be placed on a waiting list. If a place becomes available this will be allocated using the School’s Admissions Policy and Over Subscription Criteria.
Unsuccessful applicants have the right to appeal once every academic year – information will be sent with the decision letter from the City Council.
Appeals
If you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at the school, for your appeal to be heard in the main round of appeals it must be submitted by April 2025.
