Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are looking to introduce Parent Champions for each year group and would love to hear from any parents or carers who may be willing to help support our school community.
A Parent Champion would:
Help support class or school events when needed- this might be attending open mornings to support prospective parents.
Act as a point of contact for parents in the year group (for example, if someone has a quick question or needs to pass on a message) ie what time the children are returning from a school trip if after school hours
Help share key messages by posting updates or reminders in the class WhatsApp parent group ie Y4 have a work sharing event today
Belong to a school forum
This role is not intended to be time-consuming. The aim is simply to improve communication, build our parent community, and ensure parents have a reliable contact if needed.
If you are interested, or would like more information before deciding, please reply to this email and let us know. Your support would be greatly appreciated and would make a real difference to our school events and parent communication. Please email Mrs Dolby-Molson at rebecca.dolby-molson@avanti.org.uk for further information.
Thank you for your continued support.
Parents survey for better communication
We are always looking for ways to improve our communication and the experience we provide for our families. To help us with this, we’ve created a short survey that you can access by scanning a QR code. Your views and feedback are really important to us and will help shape our future plans. This QR code will be available at parents Consultation evening next week ( 19th & 21st January), so please do scan and let us know what you think. Your feedback helps us make future decisions.
Mrs Dolby-Molson, Mrs Bridgemohun and myself will also be around next week should you have anything you'd like to discuss. We look forward to welcoming you.
Warm regards,
Ms A Thakore
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Krishna Avanti is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!
Reward : AIR
Congratulations to the children in AIR who enjoyed their reward today a little belated after the snow of last week. They were busy making bread and pizza this morning. Thanks to Mrs B Petal and Mrs DM who supported them to make it. We think it looks rather good. Enjoy

KAPSL Basketball Team Through to Local Finals

On Monday 12th, the KAPSL basketball team took part in a tournament alongside six other schools. The team played exceptionally well, showing strong attacking play supported by solid defence throughout the competition. The games were closely contested and exciting to watch. Thanks to their quality teamwork and never-give-up attitude, the team successfully progressed to the local finals, which will be played in February.
Go Team!
Star of the week
Each week, we celebrate a pupil who truly embodies the values of the Avanti Way—whether it’s showing compassion, demonstrating self-discipline, striving for excellence, or fostering spiritual insight. This recognition is more than just good work—it's about living our values and inspiring others to do the same.
Well done to this week’s star for shining brightly and setting a wonderful example for us all!

Rights Respecting at Home: Article of the Week
At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child. It is important that children understand their rights because it helps them to feel valued, safe, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Rights Respecting Article of the week:
💜 Rights Respecting School information
Rights Respecting Article of the week: 💙 Making Rights Happen – Article 1 and 41
The Convention on the Rights of the Child brings together a range of rights that all children aged under 18 are entitled to, no matter who they are or where they are born. These rights ensure that all children are given the support they need to develop and reach their potential and are protected from harm.
Why it matters:
Everyone should be able to reach their full potential
Everyone should be able to enjoy their rights.
At-home activity: 🖐 Under the CRC, children are rights holders; governments and adults are duty bearers who are responsible for making sure children’s rights are met. As a class, talk about who the duty bearers are in your school and write cards to thank them for making sure that children’s rights are enjoyed in your school.
