Head of Primary's Message
I want to thank you for always working in such close partnership with us as a school here at Krishna Avanti and I truly believe as a community we can really pull together to make a difference!
Living the Avanti Way- strengthening connection
We believe all life is interconnected and therefore strive to care for and respect all life – human, animal and plant – living in a way that causes the least possible harm.
The above core principle is something as community we are striving for here at Avanti. I would like to ask that we all reflect on the above as a community and support the following expectations moving forward to help us take further steps to nurturing our wonderful planet.
Birthdays
Moving forward we would like all parents who wish to bring in something to celebrate their child’s birthday to bring in a small sweet per child only. These sweets must be ethos friendly. Please see the below acceptable examples:
Twix, Maltesers, Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chocolate and KitKat are permitted
As a school we want to encourage our pupils to be grateful for even the smallest of things and also want to reduce the amount of plastic waste.
Bird feeder challenge
As we enter the cold months of the year it is always helpful to support the wildlife around us. Why not try and make your own bird feeder with your child and pop it in the garden. Please click on the link on how to make a simple bird feeder: Make a Nut Free and Vegan Bird Feeder!
I would love to see your bird feeders in action in your garden, please do send through any photos if you do manage to explore this challenge! Please send photos to:
The TEAMS page for your child.
Warm regards,
Ms Thakore
🚗 Parking Safety Reminder 🚸
To help keep our school community safe, we kindly ask everyone to follow parking safety guidelines during drop-off and pick-up times.
✅ Please:
Park sensibly and responsibly
Encourage your child to walk to school if possible — it reduces congestion and promotes healthy habits!
🚫 Do not park on:
Double yellow lines
Zig-zag lines outside the school
Pavements or near the school entrance
These areas are marked to protect children and other pedestrians. Parking in these zones can:
❗ Put children’s lives at risk
❗ Disrupt the local community
❗ Block access for emergency services
🚨 Important Notice:
We have been informed that council enforcement officers will be visiting the area regularly to monitor and take action against illegal or inconsiderate parking.
Let’s work together to keep our school environment safe and respectful for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation.
📢 Reminder: Please Complete Consent Forms on Arbor App
Dear Parents/Carers,
This is a polite reminder to complete all outstanding consent forms on your Arbor app as soon as possible.
It is essential that we have up-to-date information regarding your consents to ensure the safety and well-being of your child, and to comply with school policies.
If you have already completed all forms – thank you!
If not, please log in to your Arbor account and check for any incomplete consents. If you need assistance accessing the app or navigating to the forms, please contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support.
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Krishna Avanti is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!
Reception | This week in Early Years, we explored the story Owl Babies! The children enjoyed diving into the tale and brought it to life by creating beautiful owl collages using tissue paper. | ![]() |
Year 1 | Children in Group A have had a fantastic start to their Forest School sessions over the past couple of weeks. They thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Forest School areas and showed great curiosity as they investigated their surroundings. The children also had the opportunity to use trowels for digging, which helped them develop their fine motor skills and supported their understanding of the natural world. It has been wonderful to see them working together, asking questions, and using their speaking and listening skills to share their ideas. | ![]() |
Year 2 | Year 2 have started to learn about the Great Fire of London and looking at what happened over the course of the four days that led to the fire spreading. | ![]() |
Year 3 | Year 3 have been developing their learning further in science this week by exploring the effects of acid on rocks and observing what soil is made of. | ![]() |
Year 4:
| In Year 4 Shyam, the children have created their own catchy slogans and used direct address to engage the reader! Year 4 Radhe took their maths learning outdoors this week, exploring place value by practising 1, 10, 100 and 1000 more or less in a fun and active way. | ![]() |
Year 5 | Year 5 children had the opportunity to have active sports and really enjoyed a variety of games. We split the time in half - one half playing a game of rounders, while the other half focussed on their teamwork and agility in running a range of different relay races. We had some children say 'it's the best PE session ever!' | ![]() |
Year 6
| Year 6’s enjoyed lovely day at the ISKCON temple this week. The children were exceptionally well-behaved and engaged beautifully throughout the visit. It was a meaningful and memorable experience for everyone.

Star of the week
Each week, we celebrate a pupil who truly embodies the values of the Avanti Way—whether it’s showing compassion, demonstrating self-discipline, striving for excellence, or fostering spiritual insight. This recognition is more than just good work—it's about living our values and inspiring others to do the same.
Well done to this week’s star for shining brightly and setting a wonderful example for us all!

Rights Respecting at Home: Article of the Week
At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child. It is important that children understand their rights because it helps them to feel valued, safe, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Article 31: Every Child Has the Right to Rest, Play, and Relax the Joy of Play
Talk with your child about the different ways they like to play, rest, and relax. Together, make a list of their favourite activities—whether it’s playing outdoors, reading, drawing, or spending quiet time with family.
Encourage your child to create a poster or collage titled “My Favourite Ways to Rest and Play.” They could use drawings, photos, or magazine cut-outs to show all the different things that make them feel happy and relaxed.
This activity helps children recognise the importance of rest and play, celebrate the activities they enjoy, and understand that having time to relax is a right.

Intimate Care Policy
We have updated the school's procedure of how parents will be notified if their child has received intimate care such as being changed after toileting accidents. You will now only receive the notification through medical tracker from Monday 15th September 2025.
Uniform swap
Dear Parents,
Could you help us ? Could you give up 30 minutes once a month to support our uniform swap shop. We are hoping that once a month on a Friday our pre-loved uniform shop will open from 2.30 to 2.50pm. This would mean parents can bring an item of school uniform and swap it for another one when their child has grown out of it.
The role would involve setting up the clothes for parents to swap and then tidying away afterwards.
Any new donations would be collected ready to be washed for the next month. If you feel you would be able to support with this please email rebecca.dolby-molson@avanti.org.uk
It would be lovely if we could have 4/5 volunteers who can support with this.
Many thanks
Ms. R D Molson
