Head of Primary's Message
Reception Ceremony – A Joyous Start
We were delighted to welcome so many families to our Reception ceremony on Monday, 1st September. It was wonderful to see our school community come together to celebrate this important milestone.
A heartfelt thank you to our anonymous parent donor for sponsoring a Bhagavad Gita for each Reception child, and to Mr Preyesh Patel for conducting a meaningful and inspiring ceremony. We are also grateful to all staff and parents for their support in making the event so successful.
The ceremony, known as Vidyarambham, marks the beginning of the children’s spiritual and educational journey. Each child wrote their name with rice, symbolising the start of their learning journey and receiving blessings for a positive school life ahead.
Please see link below for welcome message from CEO - J.Biddulph
It was truly a memorable start to the year, and we look forward to a joyful and enriching journey with our Reception pupils.

Warm regards,
Ms Thakore
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Krishna Avanti is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!
Star of the week
Each week, we celebrate a pupil who truly embodies the values of the Avanti Way—whether it’s showing compassion, demonstrating self-discipline, striving for excellence, or fostering spiritual insight. This recognition is more than just good work—it's about living our values and inspiring others to do the same.
Well done to this week’s star for shining brightly and setting a wonderful example for us all!

Rights Respecting at Home: Article of the Week
At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child. It is important that children understand their rights because it helps them to feel valued, safe, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Article 3: Adults Should Do What’s Best for Children
Decisions in a Child’s Best Interests
Talk with your child about the different adults who help make decisions for them—parents, teachers, doctors, and others. Together, make a list of times when adults made choices that were for their benefit, such as keeping them safe, healthy, or happy.
Encourage your child to draw or write about a situation where someone made a decision that was best for them. Create a small display at home titled “Adults Care for Me By…”
This activity helps children recognise that adults have a responsibility to act in their best interests, and it builds trust and appreciation for the support they receive.

First Point of Contact – Your Child’s Teacher
We would like to remind parents that the first point of contact for any questions or concerns about your child should always be your child’s class teacher. Our teachers know your children best and can address most matters directly.
A member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) will not intervene unless the class teacher has been approached first. If, after speaking with the teacher, you feel that your concern still requires further attention, you may then contact the SLT link for your child’s year group.
If an SLT link is unavailable, another SLT member will respond.
Please allow up to 48 hours for a response.
This process ensures clear communication, supports staff in resolving matters efficiently, and helps us work together effectively for the benefit of your child.

Rewards and Consequences
Rewards We celebrate pupils’ successes in many ways, including house points, Golden Time, Star of the Week, assemblies, and awards ceremonies. Children earn stamps for positive behaviour based on the Avanti Virtues, which contribute to their house team’s points. Half-termly events celebrate the winning house, encouraging teamwork, responsibility, and pride in achievements.
Consequences We use the “Good to be Green” system to help children reflect on their choices:
C1 – A Chance: Verbal warning.
C2 – Time to Change: Yellow card and reflection.
C3 – Accept the Consequence: Red card, possible time-out, and 5-minute Golden Time loss. Parents are informed if a C3 occurs.
This approach helps children understand the impact of their behaviour while celebrating positive actions.
