Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the close of a busy and rewarding Spring term, I would like to reflect on the many events and activities that have brought us together as a school community.
Over the past few weeks, we have marked Gaura Purnima, taken part in a lively Reading Week. This experience have given our children valuable opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, strengthening their understanding of culture, community and shared traditions.
Gaura Purnima provided a meaningful time for reflection and learning. During Reading Week, pupils immersed themselves in books and stories, celebrating the creativity and enjoyment.
I would like to thank our staff for their commitment in organising these enriching experiences, and to you, our parents and carers, for your continued encouragement and support. Your partnership makes a real difference to school life.
We wish you a relaxing and enjoyable break and look forward to welcoming everyone back for the Summer term.
With best wishes,
Mrs Dolby- Molson
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Krishna Avanti is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!
Reception | Reception children enjoyed an interactive workshop led by Govindas. They were able to use their sense of taste and touch to describe the fruits and vegetables. | ![]() |
Year 1 | Year 1 really enjoyed working in pairs to construct a house using crackers and icing sugar. The children used their team building skills such as communicating ideas and listening to each other throughout this task. | ![]() |
Year 2 |
Year 2 dressed up in colours of the Ghana flag for our school Ghana Day! The children enjoyed interacting with the school in Ghana as part of our special assembly. | ![]() |
Year 3 | In Maths, Year 3 are learning about equivalent capacities and volumes (ml and l). This week, we had a practical lesson where they used water and various resources to deepen their learning. | ![]() |
Year 4 | Year 4 had a fantastic day on Ghana Day and dressed up in the colours of the flag to celebrate. | ![]() |
Year 5 | Year 5 created some fantastic posters about Ghana which we have displayed on our classroom doors. Their research gave them an insight into life in Ghana which supported the fundraising through the different activities that took place on Ghana Day itself. | ![]() |
Year 6 | Year 6 had a fantastic day taking part in whole-school activities to fundraise for a school in Ghana, ending with an Avanti Sings workshop. | ![]() |
Ram Navami

Ram Navami is a joyful and meaningful festival that celebrates the appearance of Lord Rama, one of the most beloved figures in Hindu tradition. He is known as the embodiment of truth, righteousness, and compassion, and his life story is told in the ancient epic, the Ramayana.
For parents and families, Ram Navami is a beautiful opportunity to share important values with children—such as kindness, honesty, courage, and respect for others. It reminds us of the importance of doing what is right, even when it is difficult, just as Lord Rama did throughout his life.
Above all, Ram Navami is a time of joy, reflection, and togetherness—a chance to celebrate goodness and inspire young hearts with timeless values. Wishing you all a very Happy Ram Navami!

Book fair
Thank you to all the parents and families who supported our recent Book Fair by purchasing books. Your generosity and enthusiasm for reading have made a big difference to our school community. Thanks to your support, we have earned £518.52 in rewards to spend on new books and resources for the children. This will help us continue to build our library and encourage a love of reading across the school. We really appreciate your continued support.
Ghana Day

A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful children and parents who generously donated towards Ghana Day. Your kindness and support are making a real difference in the lives of the students at Lord Krishna’s Academy. The donation will be used to renovate the school building, allow children to eat healthy lunches, buy new school resources and pay for school admissions for many underprivileged children.
Thank you to Mahaprasad Prabhu who came to deliver an assembly for the children.
We are truly grateful for your generosity!

Star of the week
Each week, we celebrate a pupil who truly embodies the values of the Avanti Way—whether it’s showing compassion, demonstrating self-discipline, striving for excellence, or fostering spiritual insight. This recognition is more than just good work—it's about living our values and inspiring others to do the same.
Well done to this week’s star for shining brightly and setting a wonderful example for us all!

Rights Respecting at Home: Article of the Week
At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child. It is important that children understand their rights because it helps them to feel valued, safe, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Rights Respecting School information
Rights Respecting Article of the week:
🌺 Freedom of Speech & Belief – Article 14
(Linked to Remembrance Day)
Every child has the right to think and believe what they choose and to practise their religion, as long as this does not stop others from enjoying their rights. Governments must also respect the role of parents in guiding children as they grow.
This links to Remembrance Day, when we honour those who have worked — and still work — to protect freedom, peace, and human rights.
Why it matters:
Everyone has the freedom to think and believe
Different beliefs should be respected
Rights come with responsibilities
At-home activity:
List as many religions as you can. Can you find or draw symbols linked to them? Children could create a small display to share in school.
