Welcome to 2025-26!

Hare Krishna, and a very warm welcome to the 2025–26 academic year. It has been wonderful to see our primary children return to school today. We are also delighted to introduce a number of new staff members who will be joining both Krishna Avanti Primary School and the wider Avanti Leicester hub. We would also like to warmly welcome the new families who are joining us in Reception.

This year, the Avanti Leicester hub is excited to continue our close partnership with Avanti Fields School. Together, we have made some refinements to our processes so that each school has clear, dedicated systems to best support our pupils and strengthen communication with parents and carers.

Our refreshed website Over the summer, our Krishna Avanti Website has been refreshed to make it easier for you to find up-to-date information. If you happen to spot any errors, please let us know at kapsleicester@avanti.org.uk.

Parent bulletin – new format

We will continue to send out a weekly bulletin but, based on parent feedback, we’re making a small change.

• Every other week: a long bulletin celebrating pupil achievements, sharing highlights from trips and activities, and providing upcoming key dates.

• On alternate weeks: a short bulletin with essential updates and reminders only.

Avanti Trust Policies

A number of Trust Policies have recently been updated to reflect current guidance and data protection requirements. These include:

• CCTV policy

• Data retention policy

• Data breach policy

• Data protection policy

• Information security policy

• Freedom of information policy and publication scheme

• Privacy notice for Pupils, Parents, Visitors and Enquirers

• Privacy notice for Staff

In the coming weeks, we will provide further information to ensure all parents have read and acknowledged the updated policies, particularly the revised privacy notices.
