Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderful few week it has been at KAPS! It has been a real pleasure to see how quickly our children have settled into their new classes and begun building those important, positive relationships with their new teachers and classmates. The calm, purposeful atmosphere around the school is a credit to our pupils, staff and families, and we are incredibly proud of how well everyone has embraced the new academic year.
We were joined this week by members of the Avanti Central team who commented what a purposeful learning environment we have created. The class ambassadors welcome them into learning and behaviour for learning was amazing.
Please do look out for the upcoming events where you can join us to see school 'in action'. There will be a number of new events this year.
Please note that on Monday 5th October and Wednesday 7th October, the school day will finish at 2.30pm for all children, unless your child is attending a pre-booked after-school club. Thank you for making the necessary arrangements for collection on these days.

Important Reminder : Parking on the School Site
A polite reminder that there is no parent parking on site. All the spaces outside the gates are needed for school staff. We have over 50 members of staff who all need a space.
We ask that parents and carers please park considerately and respectfully in the local area, being mindful of residents, pedestrians, access points and local parking restrictions. Please do not park in a way that blocks driveways, causes obstruction or makes it difficult for others to access their homes.
As an Avanti community, we ask everyone to live by the Avanti Way, particularly the values of integrity and self-discipline
This means making the right choice even when it may not be the easiest or most convenient one.
Thank you for your continued support, understanding and consideration for our school and the wider community. By working together, we can ensure that arrival and collection times remain safe, calm and respectful for everyone.
Avanti Fields Secondary Open Evening - 22nd September 2026

We are delighted to welcome you to our upcoming Open Evening — a fantastic opportunity to learn more about our school, meet our staff, and see what makes our community unique.
What’s Included in the Evening:
A presentation from the Principal and Head of Secondary, giving you key insights into our vision, values, and what you can expect from life at our school.
The opportunity to meet our teachers and staff across various departments, ask questions, and learn about our curriculum and support systems. opportunity to learn more about our school, meet our staff, and see what makes our community unique.
Important Information for Attendees:
Booking: Please ensure you book 1 ticket only, in the name of the Year 7 applicant/student via Eventbrite. This ticket covers the student and 2 parents or guardians.
Attendance Policy: To ensure we can accommodate all visitors safely and comfortably, we kindly request that only parents/guardians attends with the student. Extended family members will not be permitted to attend.
Parking: Limited parking is available on-site. Additional parking can be found at Tesco Hamilton, which is within walking distance of the school.
Arrival Time: Please arrive promptly at the time of your booked session, as late arrivals may miss key parts of the presentation or tour.

Parents evening
We are pleased to confirm that our Parents' Evening sessions will take place on Monday 5th October, Wednesday 7th October and for Dwarka class only Thursday 8th October.
Please see the dates and times below:
Monday 5th October: Reception to Year 6 — 2:40pm–5:30pm
Wednesday 7th October: Reception to Year 6 — 2:40pm–5:30pm
Please note: Year 5 Dwarka Class will run from 4:30pm–5:30pm on 7th October due to a school visit.
Thursday 8th October: Year 5 Dwarka Class only — 8:00am–9:00am
Booking Information
All Parents' Evening appointments must be booked through Arbor.
Registration opened on Friday 11th September at 5:00pm and will close on Friday 25th September at 5:00pm.
Please ensure that you make your booking before the registration deadline. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept any bookings once registration has closed.

Rights Respecting at Home: Article of the Week
At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child. It is important that children understand their rights because it helps them to feel valued, safe, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Rights Respecting Article of the week:
Article 7 – Birth registration, name, nationality, care
Every child has the right to be registered at birth, to have a name and nationality, and, as far as possible, to know and be cared for by their parents.

Get ready for Navratri! 🎉
Dear Parents/Guardians,
🪩 Reminder: Kids Garba Workshops – Still Time to Sign Up!
Following last week’s announcement, we’re excited to remind families about our Kids Garba Workshops, organised by the Krishna Avanti Primary School PTFA.
Children will have the opportunity to learn traditional Garba steps, rhythm and movements in a fun and energetic environment, with a colourful arts & crafts activity included too! 🎨✨
There’s still time to sign up! Spaces are limited, so make sure you secure your child’s place.

⚠️ Important Parent Information
This is NOT a drop-off event.
A parent/guardian must accompany their child for the entire workshop.
Parents/guardians should collect their child from their usual class at the end of the school day and then bring them to the Sports Hall for the workshop. Please remain with your child throughout the session and be available when the workshop finishes at 3:45pm.

Kids Garba

Get ready for an afternoon full of music, dancing, laughter and festive fun at our PTFA Kids Garba 2026!
